Synthesis of precipitated calcium carbonate with the addition of aloe vera extract under different reaction temperatures

چکیده

The synthesis of precipitated calcium carbonate (PCC) using plant extracts as additives has been developed to modify the morphology, particle size, chemical purity, and stability PCC be used for a variety potential applications. In this study, aloe vera (Aloe barbadensis Miller) was an additive PCC. carried out tubular column reactor under temperatures 30, 50 100℃ performed without with extract concentrations 3, 5, 8 10 vol%. Recycled carbon dioxide (CO2) flow rate 1 L/min which obtained from calcination process. purity morphology synthesized were analyzed X-ray fluorescence scanning electron microscope, respectively. results demonstrated that increase in concentration 3 vol% produced aragonite crystals at 100℃. agglomerated cluster observed rhombohedral shape 5 temperature 30℃. yield 91, 72 93% 100℃, respectively extract.
